It is already December. Time flies, doesn't it? Besides house cleaning, many activities are prepared for welcoming the new year in Tokyo. Of course year-end-party would keep you very busy. The Japanese party in December called "bōnenkai" (忘年会). It literally means as its word "forget the (woes of ) the year".
The Japanese always flows drinking party for whatever reasons throughout the year. Though "bōnenkai" should regarded as the highlight of the social activity in the year! It's generally held among colleagues or friends. Izakaya（居酒屋）used to be the popular place for the party as large amount of alcohol will be consumed. Many party menus are available.
Not just izakaya provides party menu, I found a party set menu at Burger King very interesting for this holiday season as well. In this menu, a 22 inches diameter whopping is served. Wahoos! It seems everything is gonna Americanized! Even a burger will be served in a pizza form! Grab a pizza or a burger? mmm Most Japanese will answer beer anyway!
