The art of Chrysanthemum - Ogiku

Another day, I’ve talked about Ozukuri (大作り菊). Besides that, there are some other ways of growing chrysanthemum. One of them called Ogiku.

Ogiku (大菊) refers to single perfect bloom balanced on the top of the plant. Mostly Ogiku are precisely arranged in Tazuna-ue style (horse bridle), in which flowers are set in diagonal lines of white, pink and yellow which traditionally are the colors used in the emperor's horse bridle.
