熊手 (花園神社 酉の市 2010)

Kumade (熊手) is a wide rake that can gather up a large pile of fallen leaves and other garden litter in a single sweep, Kuzari Kumade, a gorgeous ornamental version often handmade by taditional craftsmen, is believed to "rake in" wealth, fortune, business success, and even family saftely. You can obtain Kazari Kumade at Torinoichi (Rooster Fairs,酉の市), held in various places in Tokyo including the Asakusa area in Novermeber.

Venders cry out loud to attract customers and they celebrate with a handclap when a kumade is sold. >>Video
