Day 1 Tokyo!

I arrive Narita Airport at 1.07pm, much early then the original schedule. Therefore I have penalty of time to buy ticket and take an earlier N'EX than the one I've planned to take. I only buy 3 of Tokyo Metro Open Ticket. Indeed it's a very good deal, but it's only available at the airport.

Tokyo Metro Open Ticket -- 1 Day Pass (Adult: 600 yen)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also buy the ticket package of Suica & N'EX

Price: 1500yen (N'EX) + 2000yen(Suica including 500yen deposit)

The departure time of my N'EX is at 2.13pm. On the way to Shinjuku by the N'EX. I get a window seat, so I can explore Japan a bit. The first impression to me is Japan looks like mainland China.

So many trees and CUTE houses. Actually Narita airport is close to rural area.

On the way, the N'EX pressed through some stations like Chiba, Tokyo... I feel interesting to look at the buildings. They are in very unusual shapes and short. I see many building's upper levels in "stairs" style. There are gardens on the roof of some houses too.

Shinjuku is too crazy place to me! When I exit the JR station. I only think GOD! how I can meet my friend here?! So many exits in this big station where connects different lines. I called my friend several time with my cell phone, but he didn't put up the phone. (or the phone doesn't work?) Anyway finally I try to use the public phone. I asked a guy standing nearby (who is playing NDS hehe). I speak with him in English and he asked me where I from. I said HK! Then GREAT he knew Cantonese. He is from Shanghai. Anyway he tells me how to use the phone. I can't read or speak any Japanese at that time! Both of us are waiting friends, so we chatted together for a while. He has been waiting for his friend for an hour! So I think in my case, it doesn't that bad. Maybe this is foreigners' custom when they live overseas. I do feel funny that the first person I try to talk with is a Chinese.

At the end I meet my friend and we go to the housing agent. The staff there is interesting and I like those information paper esp the one about rubbish classification. That is a very cute paper!! Such a environmental friendly country.

After we get the key, actually we are so hungry we buy food at a convenience store and take metro to my apartment!

Origini.... so hungry, better than nothing!

I like the place where I live. This is a very warm community.
Many people come to help us to find the apartment! It seems everyone know where we live now (kidding). There is a driver helps us a lot! And I was impressed by my friend's Japanese!
He understood what the people say and find the way to the house! I have to tell, he is Italian though! I am going to learn some survival Japanese from him.

After we settle down, we go to Shinjuku for dinner.

I like this Japanese restaurant and people there are nice. I don't feel tha I am tourist at all.

Well crazy! we missed the last train! then go to...

So we ended up stay at a internet cafe "MEDIA CAFE! Well that was awesome! Juz like a little apartment! Kinda like a little karaoke room, but instead there are computers and TV at the room. We have pillows there too. It's just too cozy. Of course there are loads of the comic and magazines. The washroom is niceeeeeeeeeeeeee! And what else?! Yeah free drink... what a nice place! And finally we edit a video of my first day visit! What a happy day!
